08.30.04 - 7:11 pm Touched By THE AIKEN ... When I went to Dayton this weekend. I had not really planned on standing in a line of people waiting for Clay Aiken to come by. I had thought, it would be nice, but there was no way I'd ever get close enough to see this man, much less have him TOUCH me. But somehow I did end up in that line. With a lot of Digital Recording left on my camera and this is what happened. I decided NOT to record inside the venue and had a lot of my disk space left over for other things ... so picture if you will, a five foot eight inch blonde in 3 inch heels holding her right arm HIGH above her head and walking down the line with my camera pointing willy nilly in Clay's general direction. Suddenly, there was a flash from a camera and I saw him walking toward me down the line.
OMG! He's getting closer ... what do I do? He's right down the line from me!!!
Oh Lord, I see his profile ...
OMG! He's shaking hands with people right in front of me! OMG! All I have to do is reach out and he'll touch me!!!
And then I did ...
IF ONLY I HAD THE PRESENCE OF MIND TO HAVE THE CAMERA POINTED AT HIM WITH MY OTHER HAND!!!! Touching my hand in passing, was the icing on the cake. The entire evening, he had touched me in ways that I just can't fully describe. He touched my heart with his sweetness toward the little girl who sang with him ... He touched my funny bone with his wild antics on stage ... He touched my soul with YWT ... He touched my - well, maybe I should stop there. Heee! CT is not washing her pointer finger ... ever again ... well, maybe I will. I mean, that's a little gross. HA! 9 Trampy comments (no longer enabled) - (Cause I'm cheap!
